Thank you Theo! Interesting that the Dept of the Interior in the US is bring indigenous i to the park service to assist with global warming. This may not include Hawaii... we’ll see, because it is a different relationship. Hawaii being a nation state. Anyway, it is movement.

Yeah, there is a lot coming back, indigenous languages and dance too. It's a time of such destruction and tragedy, and there are also sprouts coming up, rejuvenating. A mythical time!

Aloha Theo, I see this story talking about coal mining devouring mountains and rivers and then the fense being national park. We experience this phenomena of when the land becomes a park then the symbiotic relationship disappears, no longer allowed to go on the aina and tend to it nor gather from there.

Aye. Though there's no one right answer for this story, I had such a thing in mind. Mining, dams, forestry... then parks. The parks save the land from the mauraders, but keep off the tenders. Such a time of tragedy we live in. And wonder, still... Great destruction with sprouts poking through the concrete... maybe even civilization can be part of the death and rebirth of nature.

Here's a wee song you may like, in this regard :)
